A Message From Rick Bryan

Welcome to the Nichols School Website. Whether you are new to Nichols and looking for some information, a parent checking on the school calendar or an alumnus in search of one of your classmates, we are glad you’re here!

If you are interested in learning more about our school I recommend that you begin with the Nichols Edge tour using the link on our homepage. It is a terrific way to see and hear what makes Nichols the special place we are all so proud of. The Admissions section provides you with a simple, step-by-step procedure for applying to Nichols.

Our website is a wonderful communications tool, but there is no substitute for an in-person visit to the school. We strongly recommend that parents arrange for a tour of the campus or attend one of our “See Us in Action” days (see admissions calendar). Students should plan on spending an entire day at Nichols “shadowing” with one of our students.

The Parent Section of our site is loaded with useful information on events, Parents Council news and other important and timely information.

Our Alumni Section allows our graduates to keep abreast of school news, special events and to communicate with each other in the interactive alumni community. I would like to urge all our alumni to update their personal information as soon as possible.

As the father of two Nichols graduates and owner of current Nichols resident dog Tate, the Golden Retriever, I can tell you that our school is very much a family. Here, we teachers, students, parents, alumni and friends gather with a common goal so simply stated by our second headmaster Joseph Dana Allen in 1909. Our aim is to train minds, bodies and hearts for the work of life and to carry into all we do the highest ideals of character and service.

Again, welcome to Nichols. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon.
